Weekend Console Download Deals for July 5: New monthly freebies

There aren't many notable items in this week's console deals, but there are new monthly free titles, including Detroit: Become Human for PlayStation Plus.

This week's console deals might look familiar, because not a lot has changed. PlayStation continues to offer the same PlayStation Plus sale as last week, while Xbox has turned over some of its deals and is offering a few sports games and some of EA's library. The Nintendo Switch still has its cornucopia of indie offerings, mixed in with a few Monster Hunter deals.

Outside of that, nothing really stands out this week, so consider the fresh monthly offerings from PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold. Detroit: Become Human is now free to pick up on PlayStation 4, while Inside is now free for all Xbox Live Gold members. Or if you'd rather get in touch with the classics, give Castlevania: Symphony of the Night a look on the Xbox 360. It's backwards compatible, so pick it up from the storefront and give it a look on your Xbox One.
