Weekend Console Download Deals for June 28: Go hunt monsters

The three console storefronts are all sale'd out, but there is one thing to watch out for and that involves Monster Hunter World.

Next week is a holiday week for the United States and it looks like the console storefronts have likewise gone on vacation. The three major console makers are still recovering from a wild E3 2019, so there aren't too many good deals to be found this weekend.

What this means is that it's a good time to catch up on the monthly freebies for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Both are set to rotate out by next week, so don't forget to claim that free Borderlands Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania for PS4 or that free NHL 19 for Xbox One.

There is one thing to note about this weekend and that's that this is the PlayStation Online beta for Monster Hunter World's Iceborne expansion. If you need the base game, that's on sale this weekend, so be sure to pick it up. Heck, pick it up anyway. It's a fantastic game!
