Rebel Galaxy now free on the Epic Games Store
You can snag Rebel Galaxy right now for free via the Epic Games Store ahead of the new Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, which is still slated to debut this year.
Looking for a new game to add to your Epic Games Store collection? One of the latest free options is Double Damage Games' Rebel Galaxy, which is well worth your time to go ahead and download since free is a way better price than $19.99.
This action-packed space combat sim is loaded with tons of exploration options, trading, alien negotiations, and plenty of cool ways to interact and negotiate with the aliens you meet during your travels. You can choose your path, too – do you want to be a goody-goody spacefaring trader or do you want to be a dastardly space pirate while navigating the inky black darkness of space? It's all up to you.
There's a ton you can do in-game depending on what kind of player you want to be, too, so you can make that choice and then set off on an intergalactic journey throughout space at your own speed.
If you like what you see in Rebel Galaxy, you'll definitely want to keep an eye out for Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. I went hands-on with it at PAX West 2018, and came away thoroughly impressed. Here's what I thought about my time with the game:
"Double Damage Games' Rebel Galaxy Outlaw was the first game I had the pleasure of previewing at the show. I hadn't previously played the original Rebel Galaxy, though I've since rectified that since returning home. Without a frame of reference from the first game in mind, I still thoroughly appreciated what was on offer, and I'm itching to go back and play more when the game's finally done. With Travis Baldree at my side as my co-pilot, I zipped through the world of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw at a breakneck pace, and loved everything there was to see."
There's no concrete release date just yet for Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, but if you want to see what the world is like since Outlaw is a prequel to Rebel Galaxy, it's well worth adding this game to your backlog of games that you'll probably never finish.
