The Wizards Dark Times is a new standalone expansion coming to The Wizards. Developed by Carbon Studio, the plot centers around a threat that has festered in Meliora.

The story of Dark Times looks to expand upon the narrative introduced in The Wizards. While little is known about what’s exactly in-store, the Dark Times will take players on an epic adventure to uncover the mystery of a threat growing in the heart of Meliora.

For those not in the known, here’s what the Steam page has to say about The Wizards:

The Wizards is an award-winning action-adventure VR game with an unique system of casting spells with hand gestures and acclaimed narration and voice acting by Jason Marnocha.

The Enhanced Edition comes with new content and mechanics as the result of many months of hard work to implement everything our players wished for. It introduces a brand new level and cutscenes, checkpoint system, character customization, improved performance, and many more.

Players use their controllers to weave magic in combat to fight all kinds of beasts in The Wizards. This magic is learned and upgraded through various in-game systems that has you feeling like an actual wizard. The average rating of The Wizards is “very positive”, so we can likely expect some good things when the Dark Times expansion arrives.

Dark Times is going to be available on the Oculus Quest and is currently available to wishlist on Steam. Jamie Feltham from UploadVR points out that this leads credence to the game being on more devices. Feltham writes:

That practically confirms a release on Rift, Vive and hopefully the Valve Index headset, but no word on other platforms. Along with Quest, The Wizards is also available on PSVR, so hopefully, those platforms get some love too.
