Watch Microsoft's Xbox E3 2019 live stream here
Tune in to the Xbox E3 2019 live stream here and prepare to witness the majesty of Halo Infinite.
Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 live stream ushers in this year’s iconic gaming expo. As the official start point of the event, Microsoft has a lot of responsibility on its shoulders. Thankfully, Xbox has gone from strength to strength, and Phil Spencer is hardly going to sit idly by and not capitalize on all the recent developer acquisitions. Please check out the Xbox E3 2019 live stream below!
You can also check out the Xbox stream on Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube.
Xbox E3 2019 live stream
The Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 stream starts on Sunday, June 9 at 1PM PT / 4PM ET. The Xbox E3 live streams typically last between 90 minutes to 2 hours, and in recent years, that time is often jam-packed full of games. Last year, the event kicked off with Halo Infinite, so hopefully this year we’re treated to a little bit more than an in-engine teaser.
As mentioned above, Microsoft has recently acquired numerous developers, with one of the major ones being Obsidian Entertainment, but there are also many others. Some of the developers making exclusive titles for Xbox include: 343 Industries, The Coalition, Turn 10, Rare, The Initiative, Undead Labs, Playground Games, Ninja Theory, and Compulsion Games. What this means is that Xbox is in an excellent position to depose the absent monarch, PlayStation, which is often lauded as the exclusive king.
Here’s hoping that this E3 will bring Xbox and Windows 10 players a whole lot of exclusive titles to experience on their preferred platforms. Josh has done a thorough write-up of exactly what we might expect from Xbox’s E3 2019 presentation.
Personally, I’m holding out hope for a new Fable title, as well as more information on Halo Infinite, and something more from Rare regarding Sea of Thieves.
Be sure to keep it locked to Shacknews as we bring you the latest news, announcements, and exclusive developer interviews fresh out of E3 2019.

Everyone will do it eventually and that is a massive cut in profit , big shops are going to take a huge hit. $79.99 compared to some crumbs is no joke.
A game pass is almost like Spotify, I don't understand how a shop will be sustainable in comparison to full price per customer per game. Sort of insane any dev actually goes along with it.
Maybe I am missing something, I just don't see how it won't hurt the shops and devs. I have a lot of friends on Spotify it is brutal to make any money with their music, not sure how it will be different for video games.-
As compared to how some of us shop now? You see non-trivial cuts even on AAA games with only a month of being prepared to wait.
Shit, I can't remember the last game I bought at full price. Even Division 2, I bought a month or so after release, and it was 25% off or thereabouts. Most I wait for 50% or more, as you can guarantee it's not going to be that long.
Plus, there are games I've played on Game Pass that I would just never have taken the punt on if I had to go and buy it myself. It allows me the freedom to explore and try things I ordinarily wouldn't, so they get some eyeballs from me they otherwise wouldn't.-
A game pass is an incredible value for the customer no one can dispute that and I am not. But like you said you wait for 25 to 50 % off but that is still an amount per game that the shop/dev gets, with a pass most games will get nothing but crumbs unless it is popular and gets the volume of hits.
If the service is anything like Spotify then it will be very difficult for none popular + mainstream games to make a profit and stay a float.
Will see how it goes but I worry :( , I really can't see how it could possibly be the same or better than say Steam or any other Digital store even with it's 30% cut and the other expenses.-
Sure, I get that - it's fractions of a sub rather than an outright purchase. But I've played games on Game pass I'll never just randomly splurge on - so they get eyeballs they otherwise wouldn't through that mechanism. It's not a simple problem - but hey just get the studio bought by MS as an Xbox Game Studio, and then MS can eat the cost!
-
Boom! Case closed I think you just hit it on the nail "just get the studio bought by MS as an Xbox Game Studio, and then MS can eat the cost!" this would 100% make sense and everyone would win! Really I think this is what it comes down to and how it can 100% work. Shops and devs get their normal money since they are part of MS and pretty much employees and the customers get a massive value bonus who get the pass. Then it becomes a case of flexing which shops you have and what menu of games that are 1st party you can offer and anyone that hates monthly fees just buys which ever games they love out right.
I like dis :) , I think if they ever found it doesn't pay the bills MS would juice up the monthly price or dump it all together. So really the shops they bought will be very important to take care of for they fuel your game passes. I think we are good here, after I talked it out I am feeling good about it LOL :)

Hard to say how it'll play out. But I see your point; if services like Netflix end with reduced movie sales, services like this might have a similar impact for game sales (and several in this thread have already said they'd buy fewer games).
If sales do trend down it puts more negotiating power in the hands of the service providers.-
Honestly Man I think it's a massive mistake and a short term gain for the service provider. I really can't see how the Devs and shops are going to benefit, it will make no one buy a full priced games once it take off they will think it's too much.
Basically it's going to hard cor devalue all video games and make it a popularity contest and only a few will profit, I have a really bad feeling about it :(-
I could see an evolution where a game is offered full price for a set amount of time before going to a streaming service. There are always a certain amount of fans that would go full price to own it sooner. Look at how LoF2 sold over 50k units in one week, and those guys give their games away for free on every platform except Nintendo.

Like Conan said, using the official software on PC or XBox just lets you remap them to the face buttons and I believe the bumpers and start/select.
However, using third party software on PC will enable you to remap them to just about anything, super handy. I use Rewasd and it's pretty great.

They are successful as far as I am concerned. That is cool, well you can buy more games then!
I just don't understand why some gamers and people in general don't understand that a Windows PC is a customizeable version of an Xbox and the regular Xbox is the pre made affordable version for the masses. To me that concept is very simple yet it seems that most think a PC and a Xbox are from two different companies and have nothing to do with each other.
Anyways I am very grateful for MS not looking out PC's + their Xbox games it really is amazing and makes sense as far as I am concerned.
-
-
I have no problem with it for the fact that I can choose where and when I want to play. On the big screen on the couch, fire up the Xbox or sit at the desk and use the PC. It's a valid choice for a lot of people, including the majority that don't have beefy rigs to play on PC. But that is the beauty here, Microsoft is giving gamers a choice now.

Game prices should be a higher than they are due to inflation and other increased costs since the last time they jumped to $60 in 2005 when the 360 came out (and that was initially only for third party games).
Now they can keep the price the same but charge more for the rest of the content later. Make the upfront cost lower.

I think until just now I never even had logged in with my ms account. I just changed it from local admin, then logged in with the ms account and then changed it back to local with no problem.
I think the only thing that happens is that it adds your registration to your ms account, then removes your windows activation from your account if you go local.
Instead it mentions that you are activated per digital license.

I don't understand Sony's tactic of pre-announcing PS5 and not following it up with more info. I mean, I guess we're going to get a ton of news on both PS5 and Scarlett @ E3 2020. But, at least MS did this show in a way to try to communicate that it's okay to still buy an S/X right now and still have new games to play for a while. I mean, I'm tempted to pick up an X this holiday.
-
-
-
I 100% agree with this, Sony is building their army for 2020 & their PS5 release so this is War. The more and more I think about it the more I think they had a perfect show(minus those 2 weird Gears 5 videos, I would of shown real gameplay and called it a day). Had they shown more of their cards it would allow Sony to counter and prepare for 2020.
One thing is for sure, the 2020 E3 may go down in the books as "the E3 of all E3's" and will be pure insanity!!! My body is not ready :( .... yet.

In general that was a solid show minus the weirdness with Gears 5 LOL. I really think they should of shown/played Gears 5(at the least) and also Halo Infinite and Fable 4(flash the logo at least). Some might say "so WTF is up with that valcan_s?" I think it all boils down to Project Scarlett launches next year so they need some amazing games to sell that and make people loose their minds for E3 2020. So really it makes sense why they did not show more or the heavy hitters, well except for Gears 5 that was a mistake plain and simple.

I agree with you but you have to understand I am a gamer and a Dev, this is just how it is no one is ever satisfied and we always want more.
Having said that I am 100% cool how it went down(the show owned), and honestly the Project Scarlett + 2020 release date alone was enough for me and blew me away: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ktN4bycj9s
Most of use want to see someone play the video games with a controller so I think that was sort of why some wanted more(my self included), the thing is they had truck loads of stuff to get through in two hours so I don't blame them. Would be rad if say tomorrow or when ever they have another show and they just played and preview a bunch of the games.
Anyways like I said in another thread they got a new Console launch next year so they have to save stuff and get ready for that so I 100% get that(it's all good). LOL just think they could of done a Sony and not even shown up, so really no one should even complain about anything.

Oh damn. Xbox Elite Controller 2 is $179...
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/controllers/elite-wireless-controller-series-2-

Yeah I can’t imagine what would make a game controller worth $129 or whatever but everyone who buys one says they’re basically sex. Like, not even in a “don’t want to admit this was a ripoff” way either, I figure for sure at least one person would buy one and say what a piece of shit since everything is the Worst. Thing. Ever. now but nope, apparently they’re the tits.

So, not to be That Guy but their Project Scarlett trailer looks a hell of a lot like their Project Scorpio trailer two years ago
https://youtu.be/F1dRgWpGePs
And correct me if I’m wrong but it goes on to be Xbox One X and delivers 4K gaming... same as Sony’s next entry, the PS4 Pro.
Don’t get me wrong it’s a better system but at the end of the day it was just the next logical tech step.
Any predictions on what they call Scarlett? Xbox One XS?
I still think Microsoft is just going to iterate on names and not have a logical “Xbox Two” or some shit and Sony will do the PS5.-
-
-
-
Not necessarily together or even for most games. The 360 and PS3 were 1080p systems but those were limited mostly to games like Critter Crunch, nearly everything ran at 720p or below. Adaptive scaling was pretty standard on current gen.
8k is something it potentially can do but its always a balance between features, framerate, and resolution. -
-
-
-
No I’m with you, I’m just remembering how let down people were when it turns out to be “like the other one but with better hardware”
I guess I don’t get who the target is for the Apple-like video - the only people who watch these things already know that the next logical hardware stair step will have faster load times, more polys on the screen, etc.
Really I’m amazed anyone does anything like this after the Nintendo Switch unveil video - here it is, here’s what it’s called, here’s what it looks like, here’s how it works, here’s how it enables social experiences, and you can buy it in six months along side the best Zelda game we’ve ever made. Boom. None of this “developers sitting in a dark room talking about a hypothetical game changer” mess
-
-
I was a little underwhelmed as well. They're saving the big stuff for E3 2020 I'm sure. But basically it's just x4 the power of the X with gddr6.
That SSD unified ram architecture could be really big. They didn't quite explain in detail and didn't show how that translate. I'm expecting it means they're designing the platform (hardware and OS) to better support what is possible with open world games. Meaning, a dev can have more concurrent things happening within the world in different parts of the world because you can stream the game world constantly between ram and storage seamlessly.
X4 increase and ray tracing are just tick-tock upgrades. The SSD/RAM thing was the only thing that sounded interesting. -
-
-
-
-
-
Ignore the name or the people in the video, the news and info in it is freaking amazing!
Who cares what it is named or if it looks like the Project Scorpio trailer, they could have Mr. Potato Head, Beavis and Butt-Head or Pennywise narrate the whole video and I would not care.
The specs and features are freaking INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
-
-
-
I was surprised that they just skipped straight over xCloud, they barely mentioned the cloud streaming and spent longer talking about console streaming. Contrast with Stadia which announced basically everything down to specific plans and pricing. It makes me wonder if MS doesn't have as much confidence in their tech.
