The L-Star is a brand new weapon coming to Apex Legends in Season 2. This will be the second new gun introduced to Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title, the first being the mighty Havoc. This news comes fresh out of EA Play 2019.

L-Star Apex Legends
The L-Star is finally coming to the Apex Legend arena.

Available only in care packages, the L-Star is a fully automatic weapon that is reportedly extremely powerful. Given that the L-Star is only found in packages, the ammo it comes with is all the ammo you will get. You will likely need to rein in the kick and how much you shoot so as not to burn through your limited resources.

As it stands, the only way to open doors is to interact with them, kick them down, or throw a grenade. However, the L-Star is the first gun that will be able to knock them open. How this changes up the meta is yet to be seen, but it will be helpful to gain an angle on an area without getting too close.

Given that all the weapons in Apex Legends come directly from Titanfall 2, it's really no surprise that the L-Star is making an entrance. There are still a lot of weapons in the Titanfall 2 line-up, so we could see even more come across to Apex Legends. There are a host of grenade launchers and rocket launches, and a few sidearms that could make an appearance.

However, given that it’s been three or four months since the first weapon was added, I wouldn’t expect another new gun until at least October or November. Between now and then, Season 2 is scheduled to start, as well as a brand new legend.
