Apple announces Airpod music share at WWDC 2019

If you have a HomePod speaker, you can hand off your music to it from your iPhone when you get home.

Apple wants to get you to use your HomePod speaker more (since you probably aren't really using it). A new handoff feature will let you switch music from your iPhone's headphones to a HomePod speaker when you get home with a very simple gesture: holding your phone near the speaker and letting it transfer over.
