Where was Beyond Good and Evil 2 at E3 2019?
The upcoming sci-fi adventure, Beyond Good and Evil 2 was missing from the E3 2019 proceedings. Here's why.
Originally announced back at E3 2017, Beyond Good and Evil 2 acts as a prequel to the original action-adventure game, Beyond Good and Evil. Since the release of the first game, the development of Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been characterized quite heavily with doubt, rumors, and uncertainty. With so much still unknown about the upcoming game, many thought we’d see Beyond Good and Evil 2 make an appearance at E3, unfortunately it did not.
Where was Beyond Good and Evil 2 at E3 2019?
According to a post shared on the official website for the game, developer Ubisoft Montpellier decided to forego attending the actual show this year to instead focus on continued development and progression for Beyond Good and Evil 2. According to the post, the team is focusing on core development milestones.
They did host a livestream on June 5, shortly before E3 kicked off. Here we were able to learn a bit more Beyond Good and Evil 2. This was the first time that the Beyond Good and Evil 2 stream returned since December, and it was good to see more of the game in action. We’ll be keeping an eye on Beyond Good and Evil 2 as time passes on. There’s no official release date for the upcoming title just yet, but we’ll be sure to update you if one becomes available. While Beyond Good and Evil 2 might not have made an appearance at E3 2019, we have plenty to look forward to when the developers are ready to show it off. All we have to do is be patient and wait for our next glimpse into the Space Monkey Program.
