Call of Duty: Modern Warfare revealed in new gameplay trailer
The first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trailer teases a gritty look at war ahead of the game's October debut.
Activision and Infinity Ward are returning to the glory days of Call of Duty with the latest entry in the long-running shooter series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
The first trailer for the hotly-anticipated game is finally here, and it's just as gritty and realistic as you might have anticipated.
The game will be offering a single-player mode that "pushes boundaries and breaks rules" as its explores the plight of special forces and freedom fighters as they battle their way across "iconic European cities and volatile expanses of the Middle East."

Familiar characters like Captain Price will be making their triumphant return, as well as a few others, and the single-player gameplay will strike fast and hit hard, with a "reflexive and strategic" quality to it that ensures players of all stripes have something that strikes their fancy. Close quarter, stealth missions, and long-range combat will be included, putting newcomers and veterans alike to the test.
This enticing new beginning for the hallowed name in first-person gaming looks to be one of the most interesting installments yet, and we can't wait to see what it feels like, especially after sorely missing a campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is heading for a global release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Friday, October 25.
