How to get more bullets in Void Bastards
Learn how to get more bullets for the Regulator in Void Bastards so you can fight back against the citizens of ships.
Getting more bullets in Void Bastards is extremely important for survival. At the start of the game, the only means of defence you’ll have is your trusty Regulator pistol, and you do not want it to run out of ammo. However, if you do find yourself a bit light on munitions, there are some ways you can find more bullets.
How to get more bullets
There are a few things you can do in Void Bastards to get more bullets. As you progress through the game and unlock new items on the workbench, your ability to find bullets will improve. So let’s dive into some of the best ways to actually get bullets.
First of all, you can find bullets randomly on ships throughout the nebula. Before jetting to a ship, you can read what type of goods it might have aboard in the star map. Simply click a ship down the line and look under the “Features” in the top-right panel. You can expect to find bullets on any ship where they are listed.
Secondly, it is possible to improve your chances of finding bullets aboard ships by creating the Bullet Hunter. This device allows you to find bullets in Hab modules. These are often sparkling items on the ground as opposed to the stars seen on the mini map.
Another way to get more bullets in Void Bastards is to collect them from the star map. Some junctions in the star map won’t be ships, they will instead be food, fuel, merits, wormholes, and even bullets. Simply jet to one of these bullet crates and your bullet stocks will be replenished.
Whenever a new client is rehydrated, they will be given a package of supplies. Within this is a handful of ammo for a few random weapons, but if you only have the Regulator it will be some bullets. You can actually increase the amount of bullets each client gets by crafting the Ammo Subsidy. The Ammo Subsidy increases the starting bullets by 50%, which certainly helps get the ball rolling.
Finally, one way to get more bullets is to actually avoid using them in the first place. If you can stay quiet while exploring a ship or simply run away from fights, you can often leave a vessel with a net gain. It’s also worth unlocking a few extra weapons, so you’re not always relying on one type of ammunition.
By hitting all these marks, you should find that your bullet supply slowly increases. Just try not to fire wildly at enemies when exploring ships. Keep it locked to Shacknews for more Void Bastards guides and tips!
