This weekend, during Computex 2019, Bethesda and Nvidia revealed that Wolfenstein: Youngblood will feature ray-tracing technology, making it the next triple A title to be added to the “list of ray-traced blockbuster franchise.”

Ray-tracing is a new technology that users can take advantage of on Nvidia’s GeForce RTX GPUs. The tech offers real time effects with adaptive shading and other advanced gaming technologies that will create a more rich and realistic visual experience for players. If you’re interested in the upcoming Wolfenstein title, then you can actually pick up the “Born to Hunt” bundle today, which offers a GeForce RTX GPU like the 2080Ti, 2080, 2070, or 2060 alongside a copy of Wolfenstein: Youngblood. To learn more about that bundle, be sure to head over to the Nvidia website.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood to feature ray-tracing technology

Those playing through Wolfenstein: Youngblood will find themselves with realistic visuals and cinematic quality cutscenes. This should help to bring the game world to life in a way that wasn’t previously possible without the technology. It’s great to see the Wolfenstein series continue to make use of the latest technology to bring the beautiful and dangerous world of the series to life.

According to Matt Wuebbling, head of GeForce marketing at Nvidia, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is an innovative take on the original franchise, which has a rich history of using forward-looking technologies to set its games apart: "Bethesda’s use of ray tracing will dramatically enhance the image quality, while NVIDIA Adaptive Shading will boost performance.”

Wolfenstein: Youngblood was originally revealed last year, with the release date set to sometime in 2019. A couple of months ago, Bethesda revealed that the upcoming sequel to B.J. Blazkowicz adventures would be continuing with Youngblood’s full release on July 26, 2019. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is currently set to release on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Of course, ray-tracing won’t be available on every platform, so if you want the most advanced and realistic visuals, you’ll need to play through the title on PC with a capable GPU.
