NetherRealm confirms Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt balance patch
During today's The Konqueror and the Kold Hearted broadcast, NetherRealm revealed that balance changes are coming to the Krypt and Towers of Time in Mortal Kombat 11.
NetherRealm is always listening. That’s the morale of today’s story thanks to a recent announcement made during today’s The Konqueror and the Kold hearted broadcast on the official NetherRealm stream. During the broadcast, Tyler Lansdown, the NetherRealm Community Manager announced that Krypt and the Towers of Time will be getting some balancing changes ASAP in Mortal Kombat 11.
Of course, there’s no official word on exactly what these changes will be, but there have been many complaints about the Krypt and Towers of Time feeling unrewarding. In fact, Ozzie Mejia noted in the cons section of our Mortal Kombat 11 review that the Krypt feels like such a grind right now. He almost mentioned elsewhere in the review that unlocking items can be slow, as there are multiple currencies and an overall lack of rewards.
The balance changes aren’t the only news coming out of the stream today, though. Players also learned—officially—that Frost is joining the game’s roster as the final member. This is huge news, as we finally know all of the kombatants that players will be able to take control of in the latest entry of the Mortal Kombat series. We’ll have more information about Frost as it becomes available.
It’s really good to know that NetherRealm are listening. The upcoming balance changes are definitely something for Mortal Kombat 11 fans to keep an eye out for, and we’ll be sure to update you when they’re available and we know what to expect. There’s currently no expected release date for the patch, though Lansdown did state that it is a top priority for the team. For now, make sure you head back over to our Mortal Kombat 11 guides page, where we’ll be sharing a ton of great strategy content to help you conquer the game.
