ShackStream: Tropico 6

Escape the daily grind and set up shop in the tropics as a banana republic dictator in this city-building strategy game.

If you asked most folks, a departure to the tropics would be mighty nice this time of year. The folks at Limbic Entertainment are right there with you, and are now offering the chance to build the tropical city of your dreams with Tropico 6.

Take a few parts Sim City and add a dash or two of steel drums and you get the Tropico series. Now on the sixth installment, the franchise has hit its stride. Shacknews GuideLord Kevin Tucker recently reviewed the game for the site and did not hesitate to shower it with praise, saying, “The latest Tropico release is great to look at, it's delightfully complex, and its zany and sometimes absurd humor helps make the whole experience so much more engaging than it might be otherwise. Simply put, strategy game fans owe it to themselves to check out Tropico 6.”

On today’s ShackStream, we take a single engine prop plane towards the equator to get a closer look at the standout strategy game from the first quarter of 2019.
