Top 10 Simpsons video games of all-time

Shacknews is back with another top 10 list. This episode we count down the very best video games based on The Simpsons TV series.

14

#2 - The Simpsons: Hit & Run

This game was referred to by some players as "Grand Theft Auto Simpsons." The Simpsons: Hit and Run was an open world Simpson video game that features racing, platforming, and an abundance of comedic voice acting. The game really revolved around driving missions, but there are a ton of really funny cutscenes that will leave any Simpsons fan smiling. It's one of the most popular and beloved Simpsons video games and is the arguably the best console release in franchise history, but it didn't take our number one spot.

Yes! I'm really glad this has both the video and the list.

I read much more than I watch videos.

Not really a list but I appreciate not having to sit through a nearly 20 fucking minute "top 10" video. Only takes 10 minutes to click through all the pages...

I know I'm not your target audience so take it with a grain of salt.

A 20 minute video requires as much time commitment as a network TV show minus the commercials. For me, a top 10 list isn't worth more than 5 minutes of my time and even at 2x I can't make that happen with this video.

Anyhoo, if it gets views that's all that matters!

I appreciate the text that I can consume while doing something else even if it is annoying to get through.

To be fair, The Simpsons is a TV show. Most fans would probably be interested in watching a video as opposed to reading an article. I think we have found a happy medium where we get 11 pageviews for the price of not watching the video. Totes Buzzfeed.

Yeah, could be! You're not serving ads, right? What do page views get you other than artificially inflated numbers?

(Click through page views that is, 1 vs 11)

Not serving ads right now. Nope.

so what does the click-through get you instead of doing it on one page which is a far better user experience? genuinely curious.

Yeah, that's what I'm curious about too. I can understand it if you're serving ads but if you're not trying to artificially inflate your viewership counts for a potential sale, then what's the point?

I suppose if ads are going to be served in the future it's probably better to do it the worse way than get people used to the other way and switch it later 🤷‍♂️

I mean, it's not just about getting views. If it was I'd being doing Fortnite Top 10's all day. Top 10 Emotes, Top 10 Streamers, Top 10 Costumes etc. It's about making fun and original content for shacknews.

I'd say it's pretty entertaining if you like the Simpsons, there's a lot of good clips.
