How to get e-credits quickly in The Division 2
Everything you need to earn money and get more e-credits quickly in The Division 2.
No matter what you do in The Division 2, you’re going to end up needing money at some point. That’s why it’s important to know how to get e-credits quickly. E-credits are the in-game currency in The Division 2, and players can earn them a number of ways. Below we’ll discuss some of the best ways we’ve found to get more money quickly, which should help you afford the items and upgrades that you want.
How to get e-credits quickly
E-credits aren’t hard to obtain, but if you’re looking to change your appearance or craft new items for your character, then you are going to need to get your hands on some cash really quickly. There are a number of ways to go about earning money in The Division 2, these are just the best that we’ve discovered so far.
Sell items at the vendor
Vendors can be found at The Whitehouse and by visiting any of the major settlements that you’ve unlocked in The Division 2. While you can buy new items here, your primary reason for visiting vendors will most likely be to offload some of the various gear and weapons that you’ve found during your time on the streets. You can visit any of the vendors and sell items.
While the prices might not look like much, it’s exceptionally easy to get your hands on new loot in The Division 2. This means you can easily break down some of it for crafting materials, as well as sell some of it for some quick e-credits. To easily sell items to the vendor, be sure to mark it as junk in your inventory and then hold down the Deconstruct button while talking to the vendor to sell it all off.
Gather and sell trinkets
Trinkets are random items that you can find while exploring the world in The Division 2. These things can range from items like cellphones, toys and so on down the line. There’s no sure-fire way to gather these items—just looting boxes will often grant you these little trinkets—but they can eventually be sold to the vendor for a good price.
To sell your trinkets to a vendor, visit any of the locations they are found at and then interact with them. While looking at the sell screen, be sure to press and hold down the X button on PC. You can check the menu along the bottom of the screen to see the button for your current control scheme—if playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
Why do I need e-credits?
Earlier in the article I mentioned that you’ll be selling things to the vendors more than buying things. Because of this, many readers might be wondering—if I’m not buying things, why do I need to bother making money? Well, the answer to this question is quite simple.
E-credits are used for a lot more than just purchasing items from the vendor. In fact, you’ll need e-credits to craft new items, as well as to change your appearance at the barber. Aside from this, it’s never a bad idea to have some extra cash on hand in case the vendor does happen to have a nice mod or item for sale that you really want to get your hands on.
