Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition launches soon

In March, players will be able to play the squad-based brawler Dissidia Final Fantasy NT for free with a weekly rotation of characters.

The many worlds of the Final Fantasy series have supplied fans with a ton of incredible heroes and villains to adore or loathe and Square Enix partnered up with Team Ninja for a fighting game that puts many of them in our direct control. If you've yet to give Dissidia Final Fantasy NT a shot, the Free Edition will be available for your fighting pleasure on March 12, 2019, on PC via Steam and on PS4.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a squad-based brawler that is a pretty fast-paced highlight of some of the most well known Final Fantasy characters and their incredible abilities. Players face each other in a 3v3 arena and can face other real players online or work on your skills against AI offline. The playable characters are plucked from Final Fantasy's lengthy history and land within one of four archetypes: Vanguard, Assassin, Marksman, and Specialist. Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy 15, for instance, is an aggressive Assassin class character that can deal out a lot of damage while maneuvering in and out of battle quickly. On the other end of the spectrum, Ramza Beoulve from Final Fantasy Tactics is a Specialist that can strengthen the party with his abilities.

For those curious about the game, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition allows players to face off against owners of the full game while utilizing a weekly rotation of characters. This allows the uninitiated to get a taste of multiple styles and see if the full version of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is worth a purchase, so they can play with whoever they please whenever they want.

The Dissidia Final Fantasy NT roster features faces from Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy 15, including spin-offs like FFTactics and Final Fantasy Type-0. If you want to get your hands on Sephiroth,  Cecil, Vaan, Lightning, Kefka, and many others, you can do so for free on March 12, 2019, when Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition launches on PS4 and Steam.
