How to change your party privacy in Anthem game
Learn how to change your party privacy and invite your friends to your game in Anthem.
While a lot of the missions and events in Anthem are designed to be played with friends or a party of other players, you can choose whether you want to experience the game in a group or by yourself. Today we’ll go over everything you need to know to change your party privacy in Anthem, as well as talk about how to invite players to your party if you plan to enjoy the game with friends.
How to Change Party Privacy
You can change your party privacy at any point from the Expedition screen. This screen is accessed by heading to the center of Fort Tarsis and interacting with your Javelin. Here you can see the various missions you have available, select Freeplay, or take on other contracts that you have accepted.
Once you have selected the mission that you want to undertake, you can change your party privacy at any time using the menu along the bottom. For PC, you’ll want to press the P key by default. This will bring up a quick window where you can change whether your party is private or public.
Changing your party to private will make it so that you must invite people to your game. This is good if you already have a designated squad you want to play with, or if you just want to enjoy the game by yourself. Of course, many of the missions are designed around playing with a squad, so take that into account when setting up your privacy settings.
How to Invite Friends
If you set your game privacy to private, then you’re going to need to know how to invite your friends. From the Expedition screen, locate the Squad tab and then highlight and select it. You can also see what kind of settings you have for your party here, so you can make sure you’re set to private.
Highlight the empty squad member slots and then select them to bring up the friend screen. Here you can see a list of your Friends, Favorites and Recommended. Find the friend that you want to invite and select them. You can now invite them to your party. When they’ve accepted, you’ll be able to dive into the mission and start fighting the Dominion alongside your pals.
Now that you know how to set up your party privacy and invite your friends, make sure you head back over to our Anthem guide for more help in the game. You can also check out our handy guide on how to unlock and craft new gear so you can upgrade your Javelin and weapons.
