TwitchCon 2019 heads back to San Diego this September
The annual celebration of the massive Twitch community will return to the San Diego Convention Center. Programming will be revealed in the coming months.
If you were wondering when you'd be able to attend the biggest celebration of the video game streaming community, erase your worries! Officially announced today, Twitch will be returning to San Diego for TwitchCon 2019 in September. The annual celebration will be held at the San Diego Convention Center from September 27 to September 29.
Per usual, the major attractions for the year haven't been revealed yet, but the production staff for TwitchCon 2019 will maintain a slow drip up until September. TwitchCon is a celebration of the foundation of the Twitch family: Streamers, fans, and moderators. It also serves as an observance of the developers, publishers, and brands that also help to make this massive community a reality and gives all parties a chance to connect and build.
We attended TwitchCon 2018 and will be covering this year's event as well, hoping to report on creators, developers, and what's coming in the future. Over the next few months, expect to learn more about the programming, exhibitions, special events, and more to take place at TwitchCon 2019. Twitch continues to build up the platform with esports competitions, support for non-gaming broadcasts, and more. Hopefully, TwitchCon will expand as a way to celebrate every facet of the community and the people that look to it for entertainment.
TwitchCon 2019 ticket information and applications for opportunities at the show will be revealed in the coming months. If you're looking for accommodations so that you may attend solo or with friends, the company has secured a limited number of reduced-rate hotel rooms near the San Diego Convention Center. Head over to the official TwitchCon travel webpage to get booking!
TwitchCon 2019 takes place September 27 - 29 and will be yet another annual celebration of one of gaming's biggest communities. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional gaming and tech updates.
