After many years of producing rally racing games, the folks at Codemasters found themselves with a decision - continue down the extreme sports path that the series had shifted towards with Dirt 2 or go back to its roots and produce a true follow up to Colin McRae Rally. The team opted to hunker down and spend years rebuilding their driving and physics engines in an attempt to offer the most realistic rally experience possible on the PC. After an extended period in Steam’s Early Access program and using inputs from some of the world’s best drivers and players, Codemasters released Dirt Rally to critical acclaim.

Dirty Rally is not a game for casual racing fans. It aims to put you behind the wheel of history’s most important rally cars and to give the end user the feeling of tearing through the various recreations of the world’s best rally stages. The attention to detail pays off in spades as Dirt Rally rewards patient and dedicated drivers. The game has excellent force feedback wheel support and offers one of the best VR experiences to date. Dirt Rally 2.0 aims to build upon the foundation of the first game while upgrading the looks and sounds of world-class rally.

On today’s episode of Please Take A Look, The Wolf attempts to be a rally driver and takes a seat in front of Dirt Rally 2.0. You can guess how this will probably end up. The fun starts at 5:00 PM EST (2:00 PM PST) on the Official Shacknews Twitch Channel.
