Shack's Arcade Corner: Ninja Gaiden
Greg Burke is back with a special look back at Ninja Gaiden's arcade cabinet.
This week on Shack's Arcade Corner, we take a look at Ninja Gaiden. The side-scrolling beat-em-up game originally hit arcades in 1988 and was released by Tecmo. Many Shackers will remember the NES port, but this series started out in the arcades. It went by Shadow Warriors in Europe, not to be confused with the FPS starring Lo Wang. Ninja Gaiden told the story of a ninja on a mission to America to kick ass and chew bubble gum. The arcade cabinet probably featured one of the most intense game over continue screens ever with a saw blade just inches away from slicing your character. Quarter up and check out the video to find out more about Ninja Gaiden.
