Tencent's Arena of Valor 2018 International Championship features $600,000 prize pool

Tencent is holding its Arena of Valor 2018 International Championship, and there's a lot of money on the line if you're a skilled player.
The tournament, which will find its semifinals and finals taking place on December 15 and December 16 in Thailand. Arena of Valor competitors will have the change to win some of the biggest prize pool the company has offered to date: $600,000. Tickets will be sale for the tournament starting the week of November 19, so if you're interested in attending, you'll want to snap those up quickly if you planning on being in Thailand. Sounds like Tencent will certainly be taking care of players.
“Thailand is not only a dream destination for many international travelers, it is also home to some of the most active and passionate Arena of Valor fans in the world,” said Ramon Hermann, director of esports at Tencent America. “This event is the marquee opportunity to capture that fandom and project it out to a global audience."
The event's top four teams will go on to Thailand, where the other 12 will head to Vietnam afterward to compete in a special qualifier that will start on November 23. If you're interested in playing, you can try the game out on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android – just don't get sucked in, because there are a lot of games coming out next week you'll want to have time for, too.
