BioWare's Casey Hudson teases "the next great Mass Effect game" on N7 Day
What could the next Mass Effect game entail?
BioWare took to Twitter today with a look back at its popular Mass Effect franchise on this year's N7 Day (November 7) with a special remark from the company's general manager and Mass Effect game director Casey Hudson.
The clip includes commentary about the "connections" fans made with characters in-game throughout Mass Effect, the creations forged by the team at BioWare for the long-running RPG series, interspersed with imagery pulled from all four games. BioWare employees were interviewed about what N7 means to them.

Upon Casey Hudson's turn, before sipping his beverage from a "I Should Go" cup, he states "It means coming into the studio everyday dreaming about what the next great Mass Effect game will be," before a knowing look. There's something on the horizon in the world of Mass Effect, for sure, but that little tease is all we get for now.
After the veritable abomination that was Mass Effect Andromeda, how could the series ever move on? Hopefully with a return to what made Mass Effect's original trilogy so great in the first place. Casey, make it happen. We're all waiting, and we're all celebrating this N7 Day hoping to see the series return to its former glory. Make us proud!

I finished Andromeda (even 100%'d it because I'm ride or die) but yeah it was not great. The stuff that made Mass Effect was in there, but it was buried down in there real, real deep and you had to work pretty hard to get to it. The crew member stories were actually pretty cool once you went through all of the mundane crap to payoffs for them all, generally (the mechanic and pilot story was stupid, flat out). That ridiculous movie night quest that takes literally the whole game to finish even pays off with a great moment (I did it pretty much right before the final mission).
Massively disappointing game for sure, I hope they've learned the right lessons from it. -

HOORAY ! :D andromeda had some great opportunities. they should refocus and move forward! the squad combat and powers and all that are really fun gameplay. I think people are ready to get back into mass effect, but they REALLY just need to hammer out the story board. we're fine with getting to know different people, build different squads, explore, and save the galaxy.
