Piranha Plant will be playable as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate free post-launch DLC
Put the smackdown on your enemies with the iconic Mario enemy.
Today's Nintendo Direct was chock-full of surprises for those looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
During the 40-minute presentation, new fighters, a new game mode, and several other intriguing announcements hit Nintendo fans like a ton of bricks, including the fact that Piranha Plant will be available as a free playable character for a short time. Piranha Plant will be "taking root" in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a bonus for anyone who buys the game between November 1 (that's today!) and January 31.
You won't be able to play as Piranha Plant until February 2019, but it's still worth picking up the game early to add it to your roster, especially since, well, it's a playable Piranha Plant. What more could you ask for?
