Red Dead Redemption 2's final story script around 2,000 pages long, or "eight feet high"
You won't be running out of story anytime soon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is certainly going to offer a vast amount of content, if the number of pages in its script is to be believed. There's going to be an incredibly hefty amount of dialogue, just for starters.
According to Vulture in an interview with producer Dan Houser, the final script for Red Dead Redemption 2 spans 2,000 pages. If you were to include all the side missions, additional dialogue, and other tidbits and then stack the pages, the script would reach a whopping "eight feet high."
In the feature, former tech journalist Lazlow Jones and Rockstar Games writer since Grand Theft Auto III noted that even Red Dead Redemption 2's NPCs have "80-page scripts each." That's indeed quite a bit of dialogue to pore over, especially when you consider typical NPCs have cyclical dialogue that often repeats itself when they run out of things to say (or you bother them too much.)
Fortunately, we won't have to wait much longer until we can experience all this content for ourselves when Red Dead Redemption 2's release date creeps around later this month on October 26 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There unfortunately still hasn't been a PC release confirmed just yet, but interested console players will want to get their hands on the game as soon as possible so they can start making their way through the west and its sprawling expanse. It's going to be a doozy, that's for sure.
