Squadron 42, Star Citizen's single-player campaign, gets new trailer at CitizenCon 2018
The studio has been pretty quiet about the single-player experience, but team closed out the celebration with quite the blockbuster.
Cloud Imperium Games closed out CitizenCon 2018, their biggest one yet, with the Road to Release chat that gave attendees a look at the next stages for Star Citizen. The development studio has regularly kept the conversation open about the game's development, but, this time, is seems like updates are finally being framed around the 1.0 release. To celebrate this, the team showed off a new trailer for the ever illusive single-player campaign Squadron 42.

Sq42 is really the only thing I care about out of this Star Citizen business, and I think they probably would have been much better off using that as a starting point with limited coop scenarios like in a GTA5 model. But maybe all that SC MMO mumbo jumbo has just been a clever way to finance the Sq42 project!

Jank aside, that looks pretty damn cool. Not sure how much I will enjoy the pacing and downtime between missions, but the locations look great.
