PUBG Mobile x A BATHING APE collab includes branded hoodie and frying pan

The mobile battle royale ups its fashion game.

Ready to look just a tad more hip and stylish in PUBG Mobile? A new collaboration between clothing and lifestyle brand BAPE, or A BATHING APE, is available in-game as part of the version 0.8.5 content update, and includes a fun set of BAPE-branded items like the Shark Camo Zip-up Hoodie and a BAPE frying pan for melee fun.

“PUBG Mobile's partnership with BAPE takes mobile gaming to the next level,” said Vincent Wang, general manager of PUBG Mobile's global publishing team. “Players can still rack up chicken dinners, but with BAPE they can now look even more stylish and trendy while they do it.”

This partnership comes as part of the brand's 25th anniversary, bringing its unique brand of streetwear to PUBG Mobile, presumably because it couldn't get Fortnite. You'll be able to select from quite a few branded accessories and items, and this looks like it could very well be the start of several content drops for the future in PUBG Mobile. There's no word yet on whether this affects the base game on consoles, but if you're into fashion, it's a pretty cool development.

This isn't the first time BAPE has partnered with a video game. You may remember the limited edition Nintendo DS Lite with Mario and the brand's iconic ape imagery of Milo, which was pretty amazing. There was a regular version of the handheld as well as a gold-toned edition, both of which were pretty fantastic when they first released, and awesome now as well. This is considerably less cool, but...here we are.
