Deck Nine Games and Square Enix opt to extend partnership
The Before the Storm team will continue to work with Square Enix.
Deck Nine Games, the studio behind Life is Strange: Before the Storm, previously joined forces with Square Enix for the prequel to the popular adventure game series. Now, Deck Nine and Square Enix have announced that the companies will continue to work together in the future on a new project.
“The partnership with Deck Nine has been a huge success,” said had of studio at Square Enix External Studios Lee Singleton. “The opportunity to work with Deck Nine on another game was an easy decision, although we’re keeping the project details under wraps for now.”
Deck Nine will be adding more talent to its team and is now seeking a new Creative Director as well as filling roles for Character Artists, Unreal Programmers, and a selection of other positions that will need folks to take care of. There aren't many details at present on what to expect from this continuing partnership, but it's great news for everyone involved, of course, and we can't wait to see what comes of it.
