The Fortnite Cube has melted and left a bouncy purple lake

Fortnite's latest mystery has taken a turn, just days before Season 6 is set to begin.

There never seems to be a dull moment in Fortnite and its battle royale map. At any given moment, something random will happen that will affect the playing field for weeks at a time. Earlier on Wednesday, another random event has unfolded, leaving Fortnite players wondering what it all means.

Over the past couple of days, a strange purple cube has found its way into Fortnite. It's been gradually moving, creating anti-gravity fields in its wake and leaving strange symbols along its trail. But on Wednesday, the folks at Loot Lake (via Game Informer) observed the Cube spilling straight into the central lake. The cube subsequently melted and left the lake in a gelatinous, bouncy state. What does all of this mean? Like many of Fortnite's mysteries, that remains to be seen. Fortnite Season 6 is set to launch next week and now leaves its user base with a lot of questions... along with a water bounce house. Boingy boingy boingy!
