Regular visitors to Shacknews already know that we are big fans of Cuphead. Studio MDHR’s beautifully-animated side scroller managed to take home both Best Art Style and Best Xbox One Game during our Best Of 2017 Awards. While the visual presentation is the first thing that jumps out at you when you see Cuphead, the fantastic soundtrack kept us coming back for more. For the first time ever, the original composers of the Cuphead soundtrack gathered in Toronto over the weekend and delivered the first-ever performance of selections from the game in front of a live audience.

The fun took place during the Kensington Market Jazz festival in Toronto. Composer Kristofer Maddigan and his band tore through the hour-long set in front of a lively crowd. Several staff from Studio MDHR were also in attendance in the front row, according to Maddigan’s Twitter posts.

We learned back at E3 2018 that new Cuphead DLC will be coming to the Xbox One some time in 2019.
