Project Awakening from Cygames looks like a more fluid Souls-inspired action RPG
The brief slice is pretty intense and exciting tease for what will probably be a massive adventure.
Japanese studios are tossing more and more fuel on the gaming fire as we get closer to Tokyo Game Show 2018 and Cygames, the team behind games like Rage of Bahamut and Granblue Fantasy, is next up. Project Awakening in the studio's new project and the game's trailer teases an RPG experience that possibly blends Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma.
As you can see in the trailer, the hero takes on a massive dragon with a blend of attack, dodge, and block that Souls series fans are familiar with. The Dragon's Dogma comparison, though, comes from how the player can maneuver, and get knocked around, the terrain in a more fluid fashion.
The YouTube description says "It's time for the wolves of war to awaken...", but that and the footage on the official Project Awakening website is all the information we have for this upcoming action RPG from Cygames. Stay tuned to Shacknews for more updates.
