World of Warplanes 2.0 gameplay footage offers dogfighting in the unfriendly skies
After a successful relaunch last year, publisher Wargaming is showing off its newest additions in exclusive footage captured at Gamescom.
While World of Warplanes is no spring chicken, publisher Wargaming still has some new tricks up its sleeve to keep the popular online air battle simulator fresh. The game was successfully relaunched as World of Warplanes 2.0 last year and the development team at Persha Studia traveled to Gamescom in Cologne, Germany to show off what players can look forward to. The new Progression 2.0 system is the star of the show in the exclusive footage posted below.
The Progression 2.0 system is an overhaul to the normal advancement through the game and offers improvements. A new modular upgrade system lets you tailor your plane to your playstyle and the tech tree also sees a similar revamp. Additionally, a whole new mode is coming soon, dubbed Bomber Escort.
