Fear The Wolves prepares to enter Steam Early Access

Former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. veterans are bringing their Eastern European flavor of battle royale to a PC near you next week.

Early 2017 was a simpler time - a time before PUBG and Fortnite sent the video games industry into battle royale madness. Multiple publishers are tossing their hats into the lucrative ring with this newly popular genre, and Focus Home Interactive is no different. The French publisher has announced that its new battle royale title, Fear The Wolves, will be debuting on Steam Early Access next week on August 28.

We first heard of Fear The Wolves earlier this year during the Le What’s Next de Focus event in Paris. The game is being created by Vostok Games, a studio made up of folks who previously worked on the famous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Fear The Wolves seems to proudly carry on the same ominous vibe that GSC Gameworld’s horror shooter was known for. The entry into Steam Early access is also being celebrated with an all new trailer.

Vostok Games is promising regular, large content patches, with a full plan of the update timeline available on the Steam page throughout development. The community will also play their part, with feedback welcome on everything from weapon balance to new ideas for Fear the Wolves’ unique weather and PvE systems. Further work on server and game stability will also continue for as long as needed. You can get first-hand experience yourself when the game launches into Steam Early Access on August 28.
