Play Destiny 2's new game mode, Gambit, before Forsaken launches

Some exciting news dropped right at the end of the Destiny 2: Forsaken announcement at Gamescom 2018.

While we were all reeling over Cayde-6’s last stand against the eight barons of the Prison of Elders, Steve Cotton casually revealed that players will be able to get their hands on Destiny 2’s new game mode, Gambit, days before the release of Forsaken.

Any player who wants to experience Gambit before Forsaken can do so starting September 1st, three days prior to the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken. The only caveat is that Gambit will be available for a single day, so expect that to be an extremely Gambit-filled Sunday. Thankfully, Forsaken is releasing September 4th, so players won’t have to wait long to get their fix, assuming they thoroughly enjoy Gambit, and based on what I played at E3 2018, people are going to love it.
