NBA 2K19 soundtrack was curated by rapper Travis Scott
Houston-based rapper Travis Scott was chosen to curate the NBA 2k19 soundtrack and will appear in-game.
Ever keen to stay on top of a youth demographic, developer Visual Concepts has chosen Houston native rap artist Travis Scott to curate the soundtrack for NBA 2K19.
The news was announced via Scott's Instagram and Twitter accounts, where he sits down with noted athlete LeBron James and discusses his role as executive producer on the game. Check out the video below:

The official NBA 2K19 Twitter account also posted the news, and a full soundtrack listing was subsequently uploaded by Steve Noah of Operation Sports.

As might be expected, the soundtrack does feature a few tracks from Scott itself, as well as songs by other popular artists such as Lil' Troy, Lil Flip, Lil Uzi Vert, Childish Major, Marshmello, and The Beatnuts. Fans of modern music should feel right at home with the game's music, though there's likely very little to offer for players who aren't hip to the latest musical trends.
NBA 2K19 is slated to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs on September 11, 2018. To stay on top of this and other great releases this year, be sure to stop by Shacknews' extensive video game release schedule for 2018.
