Spyro Reignited Trilogy delayed for additional polish
The co-studio head revealed the disappointing news.
Fans have been clamoring for a remastered collection of Spyro the Dragon as the character's peers started to get new life in various ways. Rumors fanned the flames further up until an official confirmation. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy was set for a September 21, 2018, launch but the co-head has revealed that the collection has been delayed to November 13, 2018.
Paul Yan of Activision revealed the news in a brief blog post. Here's his letter to the fans:
Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We're deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.
The adventure continues,
Paul Yan
Co-Studio Head
Toys for Bob
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy collects remastered versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The original composer for the series has even joined the production of the collection by supplying it with a new main theme. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
