QuakeCon 2018 Schedule: Doom Eternal gameplay reveal, Keynote, tournaments, panels, & more

Staff is on deck at QuakeCon, the birthplace of Shacknews, and there's quite the hefty schedule to parse through. Whether you're attending the event (general entry is free) or trying to figure out what content you can experience from home, we've got you covered. QuakeCon 2018 kicks off tonight, August 9, and continues through Sunday, August 12. It takes place at the Gaylord Convention Center in Grapevine, TX. There are a couple major competitive esports events going down throughout QuakeCon 2018 as well, including The Great Quakholio Tournament hosted by Shacknews. More information can be found below.

QuakeCon 2018 Keynote

11 AM CT - Friday, August 10

The major opener for QuakeCon will feature the gameplay debut of Doom Eternal, an extended look at Rage 2, some reveals for Quake Champions, and more. There could be some surprise reveals as well, so you definitely don't want to miss this. If you're watching from, the QuakeCon 2018 keynote will stream on Bethesda's official Twitch and Mixer channels.

11 AM CT - Saturday, August 11

Todd Howard and the Bethesda team will be breaking down the character system and perks in Fallout 76, followed by a Q/A after the talk. The entire panel will be stream on Bethesda's official Twitch and Mixer channels.

QuakeCon Esports Events

Quake Champions and The Elder Scrolls: Legends will be hosting major tournaments at QuakeCon and both will be streamed on Twitch. The Elder Scrolls: Legends Masters Series takes place on Thursday and
Friday on the official Elder Scrolls Legends Twitch channel. Catch the Quake Champions QuakeCon Open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday online on the official Quake Twitch channel.

The Great Quakeholio Tournament at QuakeCon hosted by Shacknews is also taking place during QuakeCon 2018 and you'll be able to watch the grueling tournament live on the official Shacknews Twitch channel. There are some wonderful prizes at stake and some surprises in store that you won't want to miss.

Exhibit Hall

10 AM CT - 6 PM CT on Friday and Saturday
10 AM CT - 5 PM CT on Sunday

Attendees will be able to enter the exhibit hall and get some hands-on time with a handful of Bethesda Games. Rage 2, The Elder Scrolls: Blades, Quake Champions, and The Elder Scrolls Online are all on the floor. The upcoming VR title, Wolferstein: Cyberpilot, is also playable on the show floor.
