Free August PS Plus Games Put A Couple Hits Out With Mafia 3 & Dead by Daylight
August continues a string of strong releases for subscribers to the PlayStation service.
Heavy Rain and indie-brawler Absolver headed up a strong collection of games for PlayStation Plus in July and August is continuing the trend. August PS Plus releases include the critically acclaimed Mafia 3 and Dead by Daylight, one of the premier asymmetrical multiplayer games around.
Mafia 3 puts players in the role of Vietnam vet Lincoln Clay as he attempts to get revenge on those that wiped out his surrogate family. Clay build up his own organization as he faces down the Italian Mafia and there's a large open-world for players to experiment with. Dead by Daylight takes the classic serial killers of films and sets them as the foundation for a 4v1 horror game. Four players take on the role of survivors that must escape their predicament with a fifth player fulfilling the role of a killer.

- Serious Sam 3 BFE (PS3)
- Draw Slasher (PS Vita)
- Space Hulk (PS Vita)
There's also a bonus PS VR game for subscribers. Here They Lie, a nightmarish adventure, will be available from August 7 to October 2 entirely for free. Party game Knowledge is Power is also available from August 7 to November 6, adding another layer to tiered PS Plus releases.
