Gunfire Games Announces Post-Apocalyptic Shooter Remnant: From the Ashes
Darksiders 3 developer Gunfire Games is working on a new post-apocalyptic co-op shooter titled Remnant: From the Ashes.
The Darksiders series of games are heavily steeped in the events surrounding the apocalypse, and it looks like the crew at developer Gunfire Games isn't ready to abandon the theme just yet. The studio has recently announced an all-new IP titled Remnant: From the Ashes, a third-person cooperative shooter with survival elements set in a broken, post-apocalyptic world.
A press release for the new game gives some information about the gaming, noting that "each world will present new challenges and perils to overcome." Several different enemy monster types will be available, worlds will be procedurally generated, heroes will be able to craft items and build home bases, and players will be able to band together with up to three others to take on the adventure. While details are still pretty slim at the moment, Gunfire Games and publisher Perfect World Entertainment have assured gamers that they'll be showing a playable version of Remnant: From the Ashes at the upcoming Gamescom event next month and at PAX East later in September. Otherwise, players can expect Remnant to release at sometime next year.
