Are you an Xbox One owner interested in trying out Rocket League? You're in luck! You can now play the game for free, so long as you have an Xbox Game Pass membership. Today, revealed during the Inside Xbox livestream, Rocket League was announced as the latest addition to Xbox Game Pass. Psyonix revealed the news via Twitter as well, and reminded players that the cross-platform Friends and Parties feature is still scheduled to hit this summer.

Rocket League will now be free to anyone who has an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, and the game's library of DLC will be available at a discount, just in case you like what you're playing so much that you can't get enough and clamor for more. It's just in time, too, because Rocket League is celebrating its third anniversary birthday event, and there are a ton of goodies you can play for, so it's a great time to start getting into the game!

You can sign up for Xbox Game Pass for just $9.99 a month, but there's a 14-day trial available if you decide you like having access to Xbox One exclusives the day they release, or the cache of games at your disposal. There are over 200 on the service right now, including Shacknews favorite Sea of Thieves, including some other new goodies like Fallout 3, recently added, and State of Decay 2.

If you're ready to jump in, make sure you play with some of the Shacknews staff sometime, because we all love our Rocket League here.
