Marina and Pearl Amiibo Unlock Special Cosplay Items in Splatoon 2

Don't get cooked, stay off the hook with these fresh to death accessories!

Marina and Pearl amiibo are on their way, which is some of the best news ever if you're a fan of Off the Hook like I am. But the even cooler part of their debut as amiibo figures has everything to do with what their figures can offer you.

As it turns out, the official Splatoon 2 Twitter account has confirmed that they'll let you unlock specific items in-game. We knew we'd get some sort of cool items from the decidedly fresh duo, but we didn't have any clue what they might be. Now we know: special cosplay-related items based on both Marina and Pearl!

You'll unlock goodies like the duo's outfits, so you can dress up your own Squid Kid in their jazzy duds, from a crown to a head wrap, giant necklaces, hoodies, shoes, and everything in between.

Each amiibo unlocks a special Octo Expansion-themed outfit when the figures launch on July 13, as well as new themes and sound effects for the addictive Squid Beatz mini game. Not only that, but you can have photo shoots with the outfits, and even join Marina and Pearl on Stage during Splatfests. This means you can be the ultimate Off the Hook stan, and I'm all the way here for it.
