World of Warcraft Free To Play For A Limited Time
Plus, free Warlords of Draenor!
Looking to get back into World of Warcraft? Maybe you've never played it before and just want to try it out? You can do either thing this weekend, for the low price of free. Blizzard is hosting a free-to-play weekend in WoW, with plenty of opportunities for players to get back into the swing of things, including the inclusion of a free upgrade to the fifth expansion.
So if you haven't played in a while, when you check your account you'll find Warlords of Draenor, in fact, so you can get up to speed for free on the past bit of content ahead of Legion. With the new seventh expansion Battle for Azeroth on its way to the masses, it's well worth at least attempting to get back up to speed. There's a lot that's happened in the past few expansions (that's really an understatement) so any assistance in getting back on board is appreciated.
The coolest part is that you can play World of Warcraft for free all you want up until June 24, starting today, no matter which character you use, and no matter what level they're at. After the free period is over, you'll need to purchase a monthly subscription to pay for access. That's a small price to pay for the ridiculous amount of things there is to do in the game, though. And with Battle of Azeroth only a month and a half way on August 14, you need all the time you can get in-game if you want to play catch-up. With new playable races and a swath of other things being added, you deserve the time!

I highly doubt this is the case. They even killed off the scroll of resurrection a few years back. I think they're just settled in how the ups and downs go now and they'll be doing this a lot.
They've done free weekends for Overwatch many times in any case. Even popular games get the free treatment. -
Why is it that completely normal marketing moves are desperation when it's WoW we're talking about.
It's been making them piles of money for almost 15 years, and for the entirety of that time I've been seeing people talk about desperation every time Blizzard does ANYTHING to the game.
It grinds my gears almost as much as the people who play for 3000 hours, quit, and then when asked say the game is shit.

ill probably go back when classic comes out, I stopped playing after just before panda exp, the game was becoming more and more casual, I liked it when you saw people in iron forge with epic gear that you wish you could get some day, or the first time I saw a priest with the legendary staff.
Now its free epics and legendary's for logging into your account it seems
