PUBG Mobile Introduces First-Person Mode and Mini-Zone Arcade
The mobile iteration of PUBG continues to expand.
Tencent and PUBG Corp. have gone forward with a new update to PUBG Mobile that introduces a new perspective, mode, and ways to earn new rewards as you play through the game. The first-person perspective option is now available in-game, as of patch 0.6.0, so you can see everything in-game through the eyes of your character if you so desire. It's finally available for the mobile iteration, which is big news for the series.
You also get the new Mini-Zone Arcade game mode, which dumps all 100 players into a smaller area with triple the number of usual weapons dotting the map, so things are faster, crazier, and more furious than ever before.
But there's more to the upgrade than just the first-person view and Arcade mode. You can also head to the Armory to check out weaopn stats and compare the performance of various different accessories. The new Royale Pass also enters the fray, which lets you complete daily and weekly missions to earn points and increase your rank in turn. If you complete enough missions each week, you'll get more crates as a reward. It's a win-win situation.
If you get the highest Royale Pass level during your endeavors, you'll be given the chance to choose the finish of the starting airplane, as well as a choice of all-new weapon finishes for you to unlock and customize to your liking. There's even a selection of new emotes for you to use to taunt your opponents with.
This bountiful new update should help keep PUBG in competition with Fortnite, whose app is constantly evolving as well. If you're interested in playing the game on the go, you might want to jump online and give it a look, because there's a lot of changes out there to explore.
