E3 2018: Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Interview with Lead Programmer Adam Brennecke
Shacknews gets down to business with fellow Shacker and lead programmer Adam Brennecke to discuss all the great content featured in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire.
We're going to cut straight to the point: Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is awesome. Not only does it have a huge depth of different mechanics and a colorful cast of characters, it also returns to a peerless CRPG style that is sorely missed in the modern gaming conversation. To learn more about Obsidian's latest RPG, Shacknews sat down with Adam Brennecke, executive producer for Obsidian Entertainment and lead programmer on Deadfire, to chat not only about Shacknews' own loving community, but also give some all-new details surrounding the game's upcoming The Beast of Winter DLC and various plans for future updates.
We here at Shacknews were completely smitten with Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. In his review, news editor Charles Singletary gave the game a 9 out of 10, saying that "[in] addition to a layer of polish that permeates across the entire experience, the new naval aspect, larger world, advanced custom combat AI, and fully voiced dialog make this a must-have sequel." The depth on-hand in Deadfire is frankly tremendous, which is why we also put together an extensive Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire guide hub with loads of information covering all skills, attributes, jobs, races, cultures, classes, weapons, companions, and more.
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is available right now for PC, with anticipated PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions slated to arrive later this year.
