E3 2018: Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion Launches This Week
The new paid expansion for Nintendo's ink-slinging shooter Splatoon 2 includes access to 80 new single-player missions.
The Nintendo Switch has a massive library of excellent games, but perhaps one of the most well-known titles — outside of Super Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild, of course — is Splatoon 2, Nintendo's own ink-splatting third-person shooter. The game is still enjoying its fair share of user interest, but it's likely to bring a lot more players back into the action, as Nintendo has recently revealed the imminent arrival of the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion DLC.

The new Octo Expansion promises a lot of new content in the form of 80 different single-player missions that task players with completing various objectives using the game's wild variety of ink-based weaponry. These missions will test player's reflexes and dexterity, with challenges that focus not only on shooting, but also on platforming and timing.
The expansion has its own protagonist, too — instead of the standard inkling heroes, Octo Expansion centers around the exploits of the Octoling known as Agent 8.
Players can get their hands on the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion when it releases tomorrow, June 12, 2018. The DLC is currently slated to cost $19.99.
