Just Cause 4 Leaked By Steam Announcement Before Official Confirmation
Why? Oh, just because.
Call it another early E3 2018 casualty. The latest entry in Avalanche Studios' open-world sandbox series Just Cause has been leaked ahead of its official announcement, thanks to a promotion sent out via Steam. It appears that users were sent out special emails with imagery of Just Cause protagonist Rico Rodriguez set in some sort of stormy jungle environment with "Just Cause 4" and "Pre-Purchase Now." Another one bites the dust with this parade of E3 leaks, it seems.
Unfortunately, that's just about all we know about the upcoming game announcement, other than the fact that this obviously wasn't supposed to happen. We do know it'll be up for pre-orders at some point in the future, however, so we've got that to look forward to.
Square Enix hasn't said anything about the game, nor the leak, but it looks like the title will be dropping at any moment, possibly during Square Enix's E3 2018 conference, which is coming up on Monday. This new project will be the third currently in development at Avalanche Studios, in addition to the newly-revealed Generation Zero and Rage 2 for Bethesda. Avalanche should be making a tidy sum of cash here soon!
