WWDC 2018: Apple Introduces Measure AR App for iOS 12

The new app is going to make measuring objects and spaces a breeze for consumers and professionals.

"AR is transformational technology," says Craig Federighi, Apple's president of software of engineering. iOS 12 took the lead spot during the live stream of Apple's WWDC 2018 keynote, but AR is one of the first major focuses of the new update.

Measure is a new AR app that allows iOS 12 users to measure objects using augmented reality. Automatically detects the dimensions of a photo, for example.

ARkit 2 was also announced. Shared experiences are a focus, allowing multiple users to experience and manipulate the same augmented environment.
