Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Release Date Delayed on Console

Console players have to wait a little longer to get their Warhammer on.

Bad news for anyone looking forward to Neocore and Bigben's action-RPG Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr. It's been pushed back for console players from June 5 to an as-yet-unannounced "summer" date. If you had been planning on playing on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you'll need to wait a little longer, unfortunately.

The delay comes from the fact that, according to development studio Neocore, it's been redesigned from the ground up specifically for console players, and as such the team will need more time to get things just right. With that in mind, the developers are working to make the best possible game they can, and tweaking both procedural map generation and multiplayer aspects of the game. Hopefully the extra time in the oven will mean a more polished product in the end.

While the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will release at an undisclosed date this summer, the PC launch is still in place for June 5. Make sure to clear your calendar for some exciting purging with friends or on your own. In the meantime, check out the trailer above to see some of the game's gnarly visuals.
