Conan Exiles Leaves Early Access with Over 1 Million Copies Sold
Yes, this is the same game with the customizable reproductive organ sliders.
Funcom's open-world survival game Conan Exiles has finally left early access, and it's done pretty well for itself, having sold one million copies. That's pretty impressive for a game that hadn't even officially released until recently. The game is now live with its launch update, and it includes two new areas to travel through as well, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
But this isn't the very same Conan Exiles you saw all those months ago, because it's gotten several important updates since it first hit the scene. The game's size has doubled, and it's welcomed tons of new features and other mechanics. Its launch has added the Volcano and Swamp biomes, as well as The Purge, which will ensure bloodthirsty monsters are aiming to seek you out at all times. It's pretty brutal, if you're not ready for it.
“Conan Exiles is already one of the most successful titles in Funcom’s 25-year history,” said Funcom CEO Rui Casais. “This has been a great experience for us. When I look at the incredible journey the game has gone through in just 15 months of Early Access as well as the very positive development in player reviews over the past few months, I feel confident that we’ve been successful in what we set out to do. I’m very proud of the amazing work everyone on the team has done.”
If you missed out on Conan Exiles when it first debuted or got caught up in making the biggest floppy bait and tackle you possibly could, it's worth jumping in again and taking it a spin. There's a whole lot you probably missed. We'll definitely be hearing more about the game in the future too, I'd wager. And who wouldn't want to hang out in a world where Conan the Barbarian saves them from being a lowly exiled scrub? No one, that's who.

THe gameplay is solid... but I have a hard time getting behind a game where the core base building mechanic is slavery. I mean if that was what the game was trying to deal with then maybe it would be interesting if problematic... but no, it's just what you need to do to build up your base. Go catch slaves. Break their will through torture. Then they will make the special items from their culture for you.
Really? Sorry but I'm out. Joe Bylos, you are better than this. -
