Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition Gets An Adorable New Trailer
The cutest farm sim gets a new trailer with plenty of animals to coo over.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is the latest title in the Harvest Moon series (not Story of Seasons) and it's headed to PlayStation 4 and Switch this month. Natsume has just released a new official trailer for the upcoming Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition, just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harvest Moon.
The trailer shows off a little of what you can expect to see from the game, which looks like a great place to start for beginners and a love letter to fans who have been there from the start as well. If this is your first Harvest Moon, just be prepared to kiss a ton of hours of your life goodbye. It's that simple.
This particular entry blends classic Harvest Moon gameplay together with modern innovations that Natsume refers to as "Retro-Plus," so you'll see a lot of different changes having been made to the UI as a whole. There's also a ton of new additions like crop mutations, an improved tool system, and a co-op mode so you can farm with friends as Gem Sprite Soleil. There's also a new character you can opt to marry this time around if you so choose.
The game is poised to drop on PlayStation 4 and Switch on May 29, but if you hurry up and preorder, you'll get a chocolate milk cow via GameStop, which is absolutely something you need in your life, just in case you were wondering. Make sure to collect all the Harvest Moon physical rewards, because they're by far the cutest part of every launch.
