Past Call of Juarez Games Could Come To Digital Stores Soon
Future games could be coming too, if 'supporting fans of the Call of Juarez universe' means what we think it means.
To start out the week, fans of the Call of Juarez games got some great news when Ubisoft handed the publishing rights to Call of Juarez: Gunslinger to the newly named Techland Publishing, allowing the game to be re-added to the Steam storefront. An official press release has been sent out and includes some encouraging statements from the Techland CEO regarding the Call of Juarez universe's past and, possibly, its future.
Adam Lason, CPO at Techland Publishing, said in the press release, “Developed by Techland, the Call of Juarez series received a great reception and support from a huge community of players. As Techland Publishing moves forward as a leading publisher, we are delighted to welcome Call of Juarez: Gunslinger to our publishing division. We would like to thank Ubisoft for its incredible work publishing the Call of Juarez games. We’ll continue the great efforts of Ubisoft and support the fans of the Call of Juarez universe in the same dutiful and passionate way”.
There's nothing to confirm this, but continuing the efforts and supporting the fans of the Call of Juarez universe hopefully means that Techland will be developing and publishing a new entry into series. Red Dead Redemption 2 could sure use the extra competition.
The press release concluded by revealing that "more information regarding the availability of other Call of Juarez games on digital stores
will be shared at a later date." Thus, the continued support could simply mean Techland will make the previous games more accessible. Stay tuned to Shacknews for more updates.

This is massive and amazing news! Man if Techland made a new open world Call of Juarez in the Dying Light engine and it was the same quality plus freedom of movement(parkour or basically go where ever you want) that be insane!
If Techland was smart it could hard core maximize on the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC boycott or what ever you want to call it and sell tuck loads of a new COJ to angry and hurt PC gamers.
I know I would buy it in a instant for I love Techland and pretty much all their games.
I guess E3 would be too soon. It be insane if they where already working on the game till this deal went through and was already doing the whole Dead Island swap to Dying Light thing and can now swap the textures and model of the characters to be a real Call of Juarez IP.
Good times.
